This Privacy Notice explains how The Community Point collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information through thecommunitypoint.com (the "Service").

1. Who we are (data controller)

The Community Point is the data controller responsible for personal information processed through the Service. Contact: info@thecommunitypoint.com.

Depending on your role, your homeowners association, community manager, or business listing sponsor may also provide or manage information shown to you in the portal.

2. Categories of personal data we collect

Account and identity: name, email address, phone number, community affiliation, login credentials, role (resident, administrator, partner).

Content you submit: support messages, AI Concierge questions, uploaded community documents, business listing details, comments and replies.

Technical and usage data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages visited, feature usage, error reports, push notification tokens.

Payment data: handled by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). We receive transaction metadata (e.g. plan, amount, status) but do not store full payment card details.

3. How we use personal data and legal bases

Provide the Service and your community portal access (legal basis: performance of contract).

Operate AI Concierge, search, and document features (legitimate interests in providing useful community tooling).

Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms (legitimate interests, legal obligation).

Process payments, subscriptions, and refunds via Paddle (performance of contract, legal obligation).

Improve the Service, troubleshoot, and develop new features (legitimate interests).

Send service emails, push notifications, and — where permitted — community updates (consent or legitimate interests; you may opt out of non-essential messages at any time).

4. Sharing personal data

Service providers and subprocessors that help us operate the Service, including hosting, database, authentication, file storage, analytics, AI inference, email delivery, and customer support.

Paddle.com Inc. and its affiliates as our Merchant of Record for payments, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and refund handling.

Community administrators and HOA managers who operate your community space within the Service (limited to information relevant to that community).

Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or business reorganization, subject to equivalent privacy protections.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers, including Paddle, process personal data outside your country of residence. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms required by applicable law.
